BSL2018 returns to Newcastle upon Tyne in February 2018

BIM Show Live returned with a bang in 2017 with two jam-packed days of learning and knowledge-sharing being hosted in our home town of Newcastle upon Tyne – a city with a rich heritage of engineering and manufacturing.

We’re pleased to let you know that in 2018, Newcastle’s Boiler Shop in Stephenson’s Quarter will once again be playing host to this leading technology-led industry event and of course, bimstore will be right there in the thick of it! Join us in Newcastle Wednesday 28 February and Thursday 1 March 2018 - Get the dates in your diary now – it’s guaranteed to be an event you won’t want to miss. New for this year and part of the BIM Show Live experience are the BIM Awards, held on the evening of Tuesday 27 February 2018 at the Boiler Shop in Newcastle. Entries for the awards can now be submitted here, and the deadline for this is Tuesday 14 November at 5 pm, so if you’ve worked on something BIM-tastic in the past year, why not shout about it? Winners from the awards will then be given the opportunity to present at BIM Show Live and demonstrate why they are indeed the best of the best. Additionally, do you know someone who is a BIM legend or a rising star that you think is worthy of recognition? There are a couple of awards categories that are looking for your nominations. Maybe you know someone who has demonstrated a universal approach to the collaborative design, realization and operation of a project based on open standards and workflows and you think they deserve to receive The Rob Jackson Open BIM Award or perhaps you work alongside a young person who is showing significant promise when it comes to BIM delivery? Find out how to nominate over the BIM Show Live website now! There is no limit on the number of categories you can enter and there is something for all disciplines and project sizes – though Ermintrude is not impressed at the lack of awards for “Best BIM Mascot” or the absence of the “Who looks best in yellow” award…

We’ll keep you up to date with the latest developments but in the meantime, you can find out more about BIM Show Live 2018 by visiting the official website. Hopefully, Ermintrude and the bimstore team will see you there!

Changing Radiators? Why would you do that?

Posted 02.05.2024

Whilst radiators are being installed on a daily basis in new build homes up and down the country, the majority of radiators purchased are installed in existing homes because their owners have decided to upgrade their homes and their heating systems.
