Check out Specifi and the newly updated bimstore Eye on iTunes now

Do you know all about the two fantastic bimstore apps that were launched earlier this year?

You may not know this, but bimstore were the first BIM object library to hit the web in the UK. We’re pretty proud of the progress that we have made to date but there's one very important thing to know about bimstore, we never want to stand still! This means we are continually investing in the site and considering how we can improve the outcomes for both our manufacturers and specifiers.

In 2015 we’ve seen a number of new features and exciting developments launched for bimstore and the two apps we’re going to talk about today, Specifi and bimstore Eye, are just two of those.

Our newest app, Specifi, is essentially an app-based version of bimstore. It’s the tech equivalent of a specifier’s product library and is loaded with product brochures, technical data sheets, installation guides and maintenance information. The team at bimstore developed Specifi to allow specifiers to browse product information swiftly whilst using a mobile device as it became apparent that over 50% of bimstore searches are being carried out on the move. Currently available for iPad, Specifi is available to download now for free via the iTunes App Store.

If you’ve ever wanted the chance to see what the latest BIM objects look like before you have even downloaded them then you’ll love bimstore Eye, the second of our apps. bimstore Eye, which has recently been updated, is an Augmented Reality user experience created by the team at bimstore, allowing you to view 3D representations of BIM objects. The app, which is available on the iTunes App Store for both iPhone and iPad, brings the products of some of our great manufacturers to life. To download bimstore Eye simply follow this link and if you want to test out the app’s functionality, you can download example brochures here and scan them on your screen!

If you want to know more about either of our apps or you’re a manufacturer who would like to have their content featured within Specifi or bimstore Eye, drop us a line and we’ll be sure to get back in touch with you straightaway. Remember, if you try out any of our apps, make sure you let us know your thoughts - why not send us a Tweet?
