Brick slip systems provide an ideal solution, combining the authentic finish of brick or stone with a lightweight construction that is well suited to timber frame buildings.
Eurobrick has more than 35 years of experience developing brick slip systems for a wide range of applications. Whether you are working on residential, commercial or mixed-use developments, they can help identify the most suitable system for your project.
Why use brick slips on timber frame?
Compared with traditional brickwork, brick slip systems place much less weight on the structure. This helps reduce the overall structural load and often any foundation requirements, while also making upward extensions and refurbishment projects more viable.
Brick slips also provide greater design flexibility. They can be used across an entire building or combined with materials such as timber cladding and render to create contemporary façades. They are also ideal for challenging areas, including flying gables, where traditional brickwork would not be practical.
Which system is right for your project?
Every project is different, which is why we offer several systems designed to suit different applications.
X-Clad is our insulated backer panel system, designed to fix to flat sheathing layers either direct over the frame or over a battened and sheathed cavity. Available with different insulation thicknesses, it provides a simple and energy efficient solution for many timber frame projects.
P-Clad is designed to fix to timber battens, creating a drained and ventilated cavity between the cladding and the structure. This makes it a popular choice where a cavity forms part of the wall construction.
A-Clad is our A1-rated non-combustible system, making it suitable for buildings of any height and projects where enhanced fire performance is required or sensitive locations such as property boundaries.
