Sunbelt Rentals: Double the success

Sunbelt Rentals have won a remarkable number of awards since the beginning of 2023.

Firstly they won titles at the Festival Supplier Awards, held in London on January 26th, and more recently, at the Event Production Awards on February 16th.

Sunbelt Rentals were shortlisted in six categories, which is an incredible accomplishment and a credit to their workforce's hard work and dedication. In total, Sunbelt Rentals UK picked up four awards and was highly commended for another at the Festival Supplier Awards.

The awards were for:

  • Best Temporary Roadway / Walkway
  • Best Crowd / Pit Barrier
  • Best Plant & Equipment Hire
  • Green Supplier Award
  • Highly Commended in the Best Supplier Award

Graham Dames, Business Development Director – Event Infrastructure Solutions at Sunbelt Rentals, commented:

All the awards are fantastic, but I particularly reflect on the last two. Great achievements, really great achievements. A differentiation of what we now do and as a result of our significant investment in more sustainable equipment and solutions, to the way we all work together across the business to deliver multiple products and services to our customers.

Following on from their success at the Festival Supplier Awards in January, Sunbelt Rentals collected more awards at the Event Production Awards, held at Twickenham Stadium on February 16th.

Sunbelt Rentals were awarded:

  • Best Fencing or Crowd Barrier
  • Best Temporary Flooring Provider
  • Save of the Season – Highly Commended

Graham Dames, then also commented:

This is yet again a great achievement for the business. We had high hopes that we would also win the Save of the Season award, our shortlisting being based upon our teammate's collective efforts and success in the delivery of Operation London Bridge. We were however singled out as a highly commended supplier in that category, just behind the winner, so that in itself is a great achievement. The breadth and scale of our service delivery were acknowledged as truly impressive!

Adding to their success so far this year, Sunbelt Rentals are proud to announce that they have been shortlisted for a further five awards at the upcoming Hire Awards of Excellence. These awards celebrate the achievements in the UK's plant, tool, equipment and hire industry, from start-ups to Europe's largest hire companies. The Hire Awards of Excellence, awarded by Hire Association Europe, takes place on April 22nd.

Sunbelt Rentals has been shortlisted for five awards in the following categories:

  • Sustainability & CSR Initiative- Sustainability and CSR are key to Sunbelt Rentals strategic direction and have both a 10-year sustainability strategy in place called 'Towards a low carbon and sustainable future' and 'Our Planet' sustainability action plan inspired by a clear purpose: to transform lives and lead positive change across the rental industry to deliver a better future.
