Stelrad Case Study: Molson Coors Burton

Radiators from Stelrad’s wide range of radiators have been selected to share heat around the new offices of leading brewing business Molson Coors at its headquarters in Burton-upon-Trent.

The brewer behind some of the biggest beer and cider brands in the UK and Ireland including Carling, Madri and Aspall Cyder has opened the doors to its new UK and Ireland headquarters in the Midlands.

Molson Coors Beverage Company has relocated from its previous Burton-on-Trent High Street Campus to a new office space on Guild Street, bringing the company's headquarters closer to its brewery in the town.

At the heart of the new office is a central atrium which branches out to numerous meeting rooms, desk spaces, quiet booths, and a larger multi-use space which can seat up to 100 people at a time.

The development has involved the repair and restoration of the historic buildings on the site, preserving these vital elements of Burton’s brewing heritage for generations to come. Molson Coors also continues to work with the National Brewery Heritage Trust to preserve the brewery heritage collection in readiness for the new Brewing Heritage and Social History Experience, part of the transformational Burton High Street Project.

The business employs more than 500 people at its Burton brewery, alongside in excess of 500 more based at its head office.

Stelrad has supplied 36 radiators to the project including a number of both white and coloured Planar, flat fronted designer radiators, as well as chrome classic towel rails and a number of its sector leading low surface temperature radiators.

It also highlights the value of being able to supply radiators in a range of colours, to complement and contrast with other décor in these exceptional projects.”

Contractor for the project was Mellor Bromley Mechanical Services, Leicester and the radiators were supplied through SBS in Leicester. Construction on site began in summer 2023, with Clegg Food Projects working closely alongside Molson Coors and BHB Architects to preserve the site's architectural legacy while introducing modern infrastructure in line with 21st-century building standards. The completed headquarters has been designed to reflect the character of Burton upon Trent's rich brewing history, while meeting the needs of a contemporary workforce. The company began moving into its new home in March 2025 and is now fully operational from these impressive new offices.
