Unlike Heka Hoods' fully customisable offerings, the EXPRESS range is built around standardised depths, straight lengths, and a selection of pre-determined colour finishes. This simplification eliminates the complexities of custom design, making it easier for builders, architects and homeowners to access high-performance sun hoods without extended lead times. Available through online purchase, the EXPRESS range ensures quick and efficient dispatch, helping projects stay on schedule without compromising on quality.
Depth & Colour Options
The Express by Heka Hoods collection is available in three depths and five lengths. The range caters to a variety of aesthetic and functional needs with straight hoods available in the three depths HH300mm, HH450mm, and HH600mm.
The Range features two standard lengths of 1200mm and 2400mm. Using the unique Heka Hoods joining system, multiples of the standard lengths are used to create lengths of 3600mm, 4800mm, 7200mm.
Express by Heka Hoods are available in the popular Black Matt, Monument Matt, and Surfmist Matt powder coated finishes.

Suitability & Installation Considerations
While the EXPRESS range offers a practical shading solution, it is essential for customers to assess site-specific conditions before installation. The suitability of these sun hoods is limited to structures that meet the necessary wind classifications and provide adequate structural support for attachment.
Manufactured in accordance with AS1170.2, Region A and B (equivalent to AS4055 – N1, N2, N3), EXPRESS by Heka Hoods is suitable for most locations across Australia when installed per the provided guidelines. The range is only suitable for sites in N1, N2 and N3 wind regions. Brickwork isn’t currently considered an acceptable structural member to fix the Express range of hoods onto.
Designed to be bracket-free, this engineered solution features a wind load rating and contributes to passive design strategies, providing essential protection over windows and doors while enhancing architectural appeal.
