Quelfire Launches QuelSelector V5 with Whitewall and Shaftwall Data
In 2022, Quelfire launched the QuelSelector – its product selector tool – to make it easier for construction professionals to identify appropriate, tested solutions. Since its launch, Quelfire has continually improved the tool and is pleased to introduce Version 5 (V5) of the QuelSelector, released in January 2026.
Expanding on its already wide range of tested details, V5 stands out for its solutions for whitewall and shaftwall systems.
Due to the amount of fire testing Quelfire has done, based on customer feedback, the QuelSelector has increased from 60 to 97 pages. 28 of those pages feature whitewall/sandwich panel details, tested in Euroclad and Paroc Panel System.
Quelfire advocates that every building should be designed around standard tested details. They recommend using the QuelSelector during design stages to achieve compliance with regulatory requirements.
What’s New in Version 5
QuelSelector V5 draws on Quelfire’s updated brand guidelines for its refreshed look, while keeping its core functionality. This makes the document clear and easy to navigate with links to Quelfire’s latest standard installation details.
Version 5 builds on the success of previous versions, with tested solutions for:
Whitewall/sandwich panel systems (Euroclad Firemaster & Paroc Panel System AST F, F+, and L)
EI 120 single-side shaftwall details
More partial penetrations
Steel profile decks with a steel-lined aperture
Putty pads installed in a wall with timber studs
Even more head-of-wall seals
Addressing Industry Challenges
Quelfire identified two of the biggest challenges in the industry: limitations around supporting constructions and the complexity of service penetrations.
These, on top of the everyday pressures of finding up-to-date project packs, meeting tight deadlines, and complying with requirements, can add stress to project teams.
QuelSelector V5 helps address these challenges by bringing together the latest tested solutions and supporting guidance. It is organised first by substrate construction, then by penetrating services, following typical construction methods.
