Today we are here to let you know that one of our recent arrivals, Sotech Limited, have just released new content here on bimstore.Sotech is a leading designer and manufacturer of engineered metal rain screen cladding and architectural fabrications. Based in the North East but working on commercial projects across the UK, Sotech is the sole carriers of the advanced Optima range of rain screen cladding systems, which is produced in their on-site manufacturing facility. Established since 1982, Sotech works closely with architects, installers and contractors from the whole of the UK to understand their needs and provide the most suitable rain screen cladding solution, with a wide range of materials and finishes available.Following on from the launch of their BIM content earlier this month, the next product that has gone live for Sotech is the Optima TFC (Through Fix Cassette Rainscreen).
Optima TFC has been developed as an economical alternative to a complete secret fix rainscreen. Whilst being the most economical rainscreen solution, requiring discreet fixings in the vertical panel recess, the engineering of the system retains the benefits of a drained and ventilated façade. Superior manufacturing techniques ensure there will be no build-up of metal thicknesses at the cruciform joint. The system has been independently tested and certified to meet CWCT rigorous specification for rainscreen cladding. This drained and ventilated system consists of a baffle-jointed series of panels that creates a weather shield in front of a primary structure. Optima TFC is engineered to seamlessly integrate with all other building façade elements such as windows, doors and louvres. All fixings used in the systems are stainless steel.The download contains Revit components for the Sotech Optima TFC (Through Fix Cassette Rainscreen). Components include user selectable features and guidance regarding coping and drip flashings, various panel thicknesses as well as internal/external corner panels and window openings.
