Keep Dirt at the Door with Forbo's Refreshed Coral Collection

Forbo Flooring Systems has refreshed its market-leading Coral entrance flooring collection which can stop up to 95% of dirt and moisture from entering a building and can reduce cleaning time by up to 65%.

The update comprises two new products, a new adhesive-free construction, as well as a colour refresh for the existing ranges. This means there is now a Coral solution to suit every entrance flooring requirement.

Forbo’s Coral collection consists of four existing products: Coral Brush, Coral Classic, Coral Duo and Coral Welcome, as well as the two new solutions: Coral Grip and Coral Interior.

Entrance flooring systems play a crucial role in creating clean and healthy indoor environments.

Coral Grip is a robust dirt and grit remover for inside and outside use, ideal for areas leading to and from leisure or sports environments, while Coral Interior is a unique concept that completes an entrance flooring system. To prevent dirt and moisture from being tracked into a building, prolonging the life of interior floor coverings and reducing maintenance costs for end-users, it is suggested that a three-zone entrance flooring system is designed – and this is where Coral Interior comes into play.

Available in eight colourways, Coral Interior has been developed for use in zone three, such as in reception and larger circulation areas upon entering a building. The innovative modular design, which comprises a mix of planks and tiles, can also be colour matched with other Coral products. And as there is no pattern, tiles and planks can be laid randomly to create a unique design.

Chris Rand, Senior Marketing Executive at Forbo Flooring Systems, commented: “Entrance flooring systems play a crucial role in creating clean and healthy indoor environments by reducing the amount of dirt and moisture entering a building. This in turn minimises the risk of slips and trips and also protects the interior floor coverings. With our updated Coral collection, we now have various ranges to suit all projects and locations, including new designs such as Coral Interior, adhesive-free options, as well as sustainable solutions.

“For projects that require minimal downtime and a quick turnaround, our Coral tiles offering has been enhanced by the Pro-Fit Quattro adhesive-free range. Using a ‘hook and loop’ system to securely keep the tiles in place, the adhesive-free construction is available in the Classic and Brush design.”

All of the colours and designs within the refreshed Coral collection are influenced by global design trends and complement other products from Forbo’s portfolio to allow the creation of integrated flooring schemes. The colour palettes of the Coral ranges now include blues, purples, reds, greens, browns and yellows.

Coral Brush, which is a good all-rounder that keeps out dirt and moisture, is available in 14 colours (4 of which are new). Coral Classic – the ultimate moisture absorber, comes in 12 colours (5 of which are new). The popular Coral Duo is the ultimate dirt and moisture remover and comes in 6 colours (2 of which are new), whilst Coral Welcome, which offers the performance of other Coral products but with a unique linear design, is available in 8 colours.

A market leader for over 40 years, each sqm of Coral removes up to 6 litres of water or 5kg of dirt. These savings made in the first six months of use means that Coral pays for itself within six months.
