By taking on responsibility for stock holding, system design, logistics and installer training, they are positioning themselves as a single point of coordination in a market that has often struggled with fragmentation. For developers and contractors, the promise is straightforward: fewer delays, clearer processes, and better alignment between product specification and onsite delivery.
The timing is notable. Demand within the UK new build sector continues to grow for energy efficient, roof-integrated solar solutions, yet procurement and supply chain reliability have remained persistent challenges. By holding stock domestically, they remove a key point of friction, eliminating extended lead times and reducing exposure to international shipping disruption. Projects, in turn, are better able to stay on schedule.
However, the partnership goes beyond logistics. Structured deliberately to span the full project lifecycle, it brings together early-stage design support, compliant specification, and on-site readiness. They are delivering roof designs on behalf of GSE Intégration within a seven day turnaround, ensuring alignment with UK housing regulations while allowing developers to maintain programme momentum.
At the centre of the operational model is their plot pack service, a practical intervention aimed at solving one of construction’s most persistent inefficiencies. Instead of bulk deliveries requiring redistribution onsite, they allocate materials at plot level. Each unit receives its own correctly specified package, delivered directly where it is needed. For large scale developments, this reduces handling, limits material loss and eases pressure on site management.
The collaboration is underpinned by GSE Intégration’s established position within the European market. As a subsidiary of TERREAL Group since 2018, they bring with them over 150 years of roofing expertise, alongside a strong track record in building integrated photovoltaic systems. The partnership therefore combines product credibility with local delivery capability, an alignment increasingly necessary in today’s construction environment.
Training forms a key pillar of the offering. Through their dedicated E-home facility, they provide installers with access to hands-on, product-specific training at no cost. The facility replicates real installation conditions, allowing engineers to build familiarity and confidence before arriving onsite. In an industry where installation quality directly affects long-term performance, this investment in skills development is likely to have a measurable impact.

Leadership on both sides frames the partnership as a pragmatic response to industry needs. GL’s Sales Director, Ryan Shemwell, emphasises simplicity and reliability, ensuring products are available, delivered accurately, and supported by accessible training. Meanwhile, GSE Intégration’s UK Training Manager, Ricky Towner, highlights the strength of the existing relationship and the natural progression toward a formalised distribution model.
Taken together, the partnership reflects a broader evolution in how solar technologies are brought into the UK housing market. It is less about access to products alone and more about creating a system that supports delivery from design through to installation. If successful, it may well set a benchmark for how integrated solutions are expected to operate within the residential sector going forward.
