Make sure you check out the bimstore Bentley in action and support this fantastic charity event!

We’re sure you will have seen our previous posts here on bimstore, and numerous tweets about GameBlast16 and the #bimstorebentley. If you need a reminder, you can see our previous posts here and here (that last link contains an absolutely AWESOME trailer!). As the time for the event is now here we wanted to share a little bit more info about where you can follow the event online.

Quick recap – we are supporting Tim Clark from Wienerberger and his son Adam in their taking part in GameBlast16, a gaming event raising money for Special Effect. Special Effect is a unique charity who uses technology to enhance the quality of life of people with physical disabilities. As part of this event, bimstore have sponsored Adam’s car, which has been bedecked in our signature colour, yellow!

This marathon gaming event is taking place this weekend, 26th-28th February 2016 and Tim recently shared some background as to why he is getting involved with this event;

“Why are we doing this? Because my friends, son, daughter, son in law and I can. We have no obstacles to overcome just to start playing, we just sit down, switch on and play.....others are not as fortunate as us and they have mountains to climb before they can even switch on the console or pc. So with the amazing help of generous companies, friends, families and anonymous donations we can help those challenged by physical disability enjoy the simple pleasure of the 'perfect pass', 'perfect draft', 'perfect corner' and the win....ah yes....the win!” Tim continues “Being a huge Motorsport fan and in particular the Blancpain GT Endurance series, I am recreating the Circuit de Spa Francorchamps 24hr endurance race with a team of 3, racing twelve, 50 lap races (600 laps!!!!!) over 24hrs + in a fully liveried Bentley GT3 in the Xbox One game Forza 6."

There’s bound to be a storm of activity over the weekend so if you want to follow on Twitter and keep up with the event, here are the all important handles that you’ll need!

The event is @gameblast16 and the charity is @SpecialEffect. Doing the commentating at the start and finish of the livestream event is Chris Dawes and you can find him at @Dawesracing - and last but not least, make sure you follow Tim and his family at @topcat6264 @BimClark @DutchNStuff and @OctoberMissC! Or you could simply follow this rather handy little list we've put together over on Twitter...

In addition, the whole event will be live streamed on Twitch from Tim’s Xbox one and you will be able to check it out during the event via this link.

FInally, there’s also been a new video created to tell you a little bit more about the event which you can see below – the voice you can hear is Brands Hatch commentator, Chris Dawes.

If you’re got any spare change at all then please do consider supporting Tim and Adam in raising money for this great charity. You can view their sponsorship page here.

Good luck to the teams taking part - we're looking forward to seeing the action this weekend and hearing all about it next week!

Changing Radiators? Why would you do that?

Posted 02.05.2024

Whilst radiators are being installed on a daily basis in new build homes up and down the country, the majority of radiators purchased are installed in existing homes because their owners have decided to upgrade their homes and their heating systems.
