Timloc take their responsibility for the environment very seriously and are committed to making positive steps to help reduce plastic waste within the building industry.
Living up to this commitment, Timloc Building Products became the first carbon-neutral building products manufacturers in the UK - an impressive achievement.
They take pride in manufacturing durable, long-lasting products, with over 75% made from recycled plastics. Designed to support a home throughout its lifespan, these products are also recyclable at the end of the building’s life.
In 2021, Timloc became the first building products manufacturer to use electricity generated from 100% renewable sources, 100% of their waste is diverted from landfill and 100% of their packaging is recyclable. This is just scratching the surface on the steps that they have taken towards sustainability.
The Hedgehog Highway
A popular Timloc product on Bimstore, with over 6,000 views, is their Hedgehog Highway. Designed to help tackle the dwindling numbers of wild hedgehogs in the UK, the Hedgehog Highway connects gardens, allowing them to roam freely and forage for food and shelter without threat or restriction.
Though sales of the Hedgehog Highway by Timloc, donations are made to hedgehog charities across the UK to support their efforts in rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming sick or injured hedgehogs. Timloc also spent time visiting Hedgehogs at Holme Rescue centre, based in Holme-on-Spalding-Moor, to witness first-hand the dedication, care and expertise that goes into protecting one of Britain’s most vulnerable to extinct species.
