The UK’s original BIM library announces launch of dedicated US portal

We've got some really exciting news to share with you today - here at bimstore we're busily getting ready to launch bimstore.usat midnight (BST) on 21st July 2015.

Yes, we're taking bimstore to North America! You may have picked up on a few hints we've dropped recently and our sponsorship and attendance at the RTC Building Content Summit this month comes as part of this launch. As you might know by now, we're always moving forward and continually investing into our site to make sure that we provide the best outcomes for both our manufacturers and suppliers. The decision to launch a dedicated platform in North America was originally drive by the fact that many of our existing customers have indicated that they are keen to push their products further afield and many of them already have international reach so it's a natural step for bimstore to make.

As part of this exciting launch, we have partnered with Read|Thomas, an independent consultancy providing business continuity to designers, builders, manufacturers and owners. Read|Thomas combines decades of success in the design, construction, simulation and software industries to provide cross-discipline technology integration that increases profitability by implementing best practices, resolving inefficiencies and mitigating project stresses from design inception through lifecycle management.

Developing bimstore into North America has always been in our plans. However we wanted to wait until we found the right partner who had the same passion for digital construction as we do" explains Rob Charlton, bimstore Director and CEO of Space Group, “We have no doubt we have found that partner in Read|Thomas. We have known Phil and Adam for a number of years and are delighted to be working together".

Discussing the reasons for partnering with bimstore, Adam Thomas, COO and Co-founder of Read|Thomas said “One thing that we believe at Read|Thomas is that you can have a great product or service but without the ecosystem to support the product or service it will not succeed”.

In bimstore’s case, it’s not just about creating content, it’s about the ecosystem of managing, delivery and analyzing the content” Adam continues “The other key distinguisher is that the content is industry neutral while maintaining robustness”

What we are am most excited about is the ability to further extend our own ecosystem to clients through the bimstore relationship”

bimstore are proud to be ‘Gold’ sponsors of the RTC Building Content Summit being held in Washington on 22nd July 2015 and you'll also be able to find us exhibitng at Autodesk University 2015 in Las Vegas, December 2015.
