With a huge emphasis on air tightness and the mitigation of thermal bridging at every juncture, Unilin Insulation’s technical team engaged at design stage to ensure specification of suitable products throughout every element of the building.
Fabric First design was of particular focus in this project, and Unilin’s technical advisors carried out various calculations including U-Values and condensation risk analysis.
Our ECO360 Range sees pioneering environmental improvements in the manufacturing, delivery and use of PIR insulation. A bio-enhanced, halogen-free formulation, this sustainable insulation range has a more than 50% reduction in packaging, with all plastic wrap replaced by biodegradable film. This is the sustainable Insulation solution that Unilin have to offer and can be applied to multiple applications depending on what the project needs.

ECO360 insulation works by reducing the transfer of heat through a building’s walls, roofs, floors, and other structural components. That is why Unilin Insulation was the solution within this build. For the Ground floor, ECO360 MA (Floors) was used to achieve a U-Value of 0.11 W/m2K. Cavitytherm 360 insulation was used within the wall build up which helped to achieve a U-Value of 0.13 W/m2K. ECO360 MA (Roofs) insulation was used within the roof between and below the rafters which helped to achieve a U-Value of 0.13 W/m2K.
ECO360 builds on traditional PIR technology by reducing environmental impact in manufacturing, delivery and use of PIR Insulation on-site, supporting circularity initiatives and aligning with science-based targets and lowering embodied carbon.
