SIDERISE NXS | Nexus Fusion for spandrel panels

Description

Siderise Nexus Fusion boards are manufactured from stone wool slabs formulated to a Siderise specification for use in these applications. The Nexus process involves cutting the stone wool material into strips and rotating them through 90 degrees so that the fibres are oriented perpendicular to the board surface.

The strips are then laterally compressed to form a more homogeneous board with increased rigidity compared with a standard stone wool slab of equivalent density. During compression, an open filament net facing is applied to one face to maintain compression and assist handling. The opposite face is aluminium foil.

Nexus Fusion boards should be bonded on the net‑faced side to glazing systems or mechanically fixed to precast concrete panels.

Siderise RFT 120/45 foil tape should be applied over all board butt joints on the foil facer. In glazing systems, the tape should be applied to all exposed edges of Nexus Fusion, lapping onto the foil facer and onto the substrate by a minimum of 10 mm.
