Manthorpe Building Products Achieve Zero Waste to Landfill

In just six weeks, Manthorpe Building Products has eradicated sending any wastage to landfill with the help of Titan Resource.

With the effects of human activity on our environment becoming more serious than ever before, businesses everywhere must begin to analyse their own behaviour and accept that in some way or another, we have a responsibility to minimise our environmental impact. Leaders like Manthorpe, are doing just that.

The impact our business has on the environment is extremely important to us.

Having awarded a three year waste management contract to Titan Resource for their manufacturing facility in Ripley, Derbyshire, their commitment to reducing the impact they have speaks for itself.

Steve Wakelin, Operations Director, Manthorpe Building Products, commented: “We are delighted to be working with Titan Resource, the impact our business has on the environment is extremely important to us and so it was imperative that we work with a supplier who would help implement our ambition to achieve zero waste to landfill and support a circular model by recovering renewable energy from non-hazardous waste collected through our business operations.”

The goal of the partnership is for Manthorpe to increase both recycling and awareness on site whilst optimising recycling service capabilities through the management of specific activities.

Tracey Payne, Director at Titan Resource said: ““Our contract with Manthorpe Building Products further demonstrates Titan’s ability to work in partnership with large manufacturing organisations with our innovative waste management solutions underpinning our philosophy that waste can be used as a resource and not simply an unavoidable cost to your business.”

With companies paving the way to a greener future, isn't it about time you thought about playing your part, too?
