The core range comes available in two different thicknesses (9mm and 14mm) both of which match with UK size format (215x65mm). A variety of colour and texture options are available across four product categories (Armis, Pelaris, Fasanis and Cascadis) ranging from white through to black and finishes including smooth, sanded, rolled and waterstruck. However, if our colour range doesn't quite match your requirements, manufactured extruded brick slips are also available in an array of bespoke colours and blends, available to order upon request.

What are manufactured brick slips?

Wienerberger’s manufactured clay brick slips are a high-quality brick slip with both tight tolerances and low water absorption, offering extremely high levels of consistency throughout the build process. Manufactured brick slips are not produced by cutting from traditional bricks but are instead purpose made to precise dimensions. Due to this production method, the amount of natural resource consumed per square metre of facade produced is minimised. This also enables you to achieve a reduction in upfront embodied carbon per square metre of brickwork, making manufactured brick slips a more environmentally friendly facade option than traditional bricks.

Why should I use manufactured brick slips?

As well as the environmental benefits achieved through upfront embodied carbon and a reduction in raw material consumption, manufactured brick slips are precision made so they are both lighter in weight and thinner than traditional bricks making them easier to transport in comparison to a similar product which in turn reduces vehicle emissions per square metre of brickwork.

Wienerberger’s manufactured brick slips conform to EN14411 and achieve a very tight size tolerance (+/-2mm) which is ideal for both off-site and on-site installations where productivity and labour costs are important. With over 42 colours and textures to choose from, our manufactured brick slip range is able to match the vast majority of local UK building facades. Clay bricks are a popular facade option in the UK, which gives manufactured brick slips an added advantage above other alternatives.

Who should use manufactured brick slips?

Manufactured Brick Slips are a perfect choice as exterior brick slips for ETICS (External Thermal Insulation Composite System) and EWI (External Wall Insulation) suppliers, pre-cast producers and modular system manufacturers. The slips are precision made meaning a significant reduction in material wastage is achieved in comparison to cut brick slips.

Furthermore, with less mortar (not factoring in the glue to secure the slip to any backing a 9mm slip would use 91% less mortar than a brick and a 14mm slip would use 86% less) and therefore less water used during construction the manufactured brick slip build process provides a much cleaner build compared to traditional brickwork.

The bricks boast the highest fire rating possible (A1) and can achieve very tight size tolerance (+/-2mm) making them an ideal choice for both off-site and on-site installations where productivity and labour costs are important. The manufactured brick slip range offers excellent environmental and technical advantages compared to traditional bricks, alongside reduced build times and strong performance gains, which makes them ideal for external brick slip work.
