UberAir: A look inside the company's planned flight service

A glimpse at what you'll see inside Uber's VETOL taxi.

Last year, Uber announced that they would have taxi's in the sky by 2023 across Dallas, LA and Melbourne. Now, you can take a look at what it will be like to sit in one of those air taxis for yourself.

Uber Elevate began with a single question: Can we take Uber to the air?

With critics at their side saying they have a long way to go before bringing urban air travel to the masses, a video Uber posted last week shows a sleek and stylish interior to their VETOL's.

Uber have already announced that they plan to make air travel cheaper than road, reducing the cost as the service grows. By starting off at around $5-$6 per mile and eventually bringing it down to $0.44, making it more worthwhile to travel by electric flight, rather than owning a car.

The company say: "Uber Air is the aviation product that will make it possible for people to tap a button and request a flight.

"Just as skyscrapers allowed cities to use limited land more efficiently, Uber Air would take to the sky to alleviate congestion on the ground and enable riders to tap a button for a shared flight."

Uber plan on testing their drones via UberEats, this year, with plans for commercial flights to take place across Dallas, LA and Melbourne by 2023.
