Today we are here to tell you a little bit more about one of the newest arrivals on bimstore – say hello to Sotech Limited.

Sotech is a leading designer and manufacturer of engineered metal rain screen cladding and architectural fabrications. Based in the North East but working on commercial projects across the UK, Sotech is the sole carriers of the advanced Optima range of rain screen cladding systems, which is produced in their on-site manufacturing facility. Established since 1982, Sotech works closely with architects, installers and contractors from the whole of the UK to understand their needs and provide the most suitable rain screen cladding solution, with a wide range of materials and finishes available.

The first product that has gone live for Sotech on bimstore is the Optima FC (Secret Fix Rainscreen).

The Optima FC Rainscreen is a versatile carrier and panel secret fixed system suitable for exterior use as rain screen cladding or interior use as a wall covering. Its versatility is such that a multitude of materials and thicknesses (from 1.5mm to 4mm) used on one universal carrier. Superior manufacturing techniques ensure the accuracy of panel sizes and form. Precise coordination between panel and substructure presents the system in pristine appearance without the use of visible fixings.

The download contains Revit components for the Sotech Optima FC, Secret fix rain screen system. Components include user selectable features and guidance regarding coping and drip flashings, various panel thicknesses as well as internal/external corner panels and window openings.
