Another new manufacturer brings their products to bimstore!

Today on bimstore we are simply spoiling you with new BIM content! We don’t do anything by halves and of course we’re not content with just bringing you one new manufacturer today – oh no – today we bring you two!

The newest manufacturer to join the bimstore ranks is Legrand – the global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures. Legrand has been manufacturing in the UK since 1980 and is committed to offering innovative solutions that meet regulatory requirements whilst controlling their processes to limit risk and cut down on waste.

Using its global strength and market leading position, Legrand has developed a complete range of cable management solutions and you can find one of their leading ranges, Swifts®, on bimstore now. The Swifts® range is synonymous with quality and has become a recognised name in a wide range of industries; including process, power and marine, transport, infrastructure and a variety of commercial developments.

Discussing their BIM adoption, Matt Crunden, Training and BIM Manager for Legrand, said “An integral part of delivering BIM is the ability to produce information that will be of use from the beginning of a project right through to the operation and beyond. By partnering with bimstore, Legrand Electric Ltd is proud to launch our market leading Swifts Cable Tray and Ladder families into the market place to support the drive to Level 2 BIM and onwards to Level 3.”

Two new listings have gone live for the Swifts® range. First up we have the Swifts® Cable Ladder System - an established favourite in the UK and abroad comprising of a comprehensive system of slotted rail cable ladders enabling the coupling of lengths and fittings without the need for drilling. The integral couplers on all ladder fittings used together with quick-fit fasteners, more than halves the number of required fixings and dramatically cuts installation time and cost. Supplied as standard on all Topaz, Sapphire and Emerald fittings, this coupling technique benefits every installation type, from medium duty right through to extra heavy duty. Then there is the Swifts® Cable Tray – a solution that provides installers with total flexibility. Available in four types, this strong, durable system has been designed with fast-fit features. Each system is supported by a fully integrated range of time saving fixings and fittings that make it quick and easy to install, both internally and externally.

Kris Atkinson, Head of Content at bimstore, recently discussed the new content ‘We have worked closely with Legrand to create the most comprehensive, easy to use set of BIM content for cable ladders and trays available to date. bimstore are always keen to utilise the power of the software to do the hard work, so specifiers don’t have to. The system not only clearly highlights miss-specified or non-standard parts but will let you know the reason why the error is applicable. This along with our pre-defined scheduling element has provided Legrand with a set of content we are proud to have created’

Over the new few months we will have even more new content arriving from Legrand so do watch this space! In the meantime, why not pay a visit to their page here on bimstore and check out the new BIM objects that are ready to download now.
