What’s new for the UK’s original BIM library?

This week at bimstore we have not one, not two but three new manufacturers to introduce you to. We know, we know, we’re spoiling you with all these awesome Revit BIM components. Let’s start by introducing the first one, shall we?

Say hello to Kestrel!

Kestrel offer one of the widest ranges of U-PVC, PVC-UE roofline, cladding and window finishing system products in the world, manufacturing over two million metres of profile every month. Their range extends to over 800 products, the majority of which are BBA and BS Kitemark approved. Today, with sales in excess of £30 million, Kestrel has achieved market leadership through a customer focused approach and a clear commitment to being and offering the very best - in products and service. Kestral has recently been independently certified to BES 6001, meeting stringent manufacturing criteria to achieve this ‘green’ standard meaning their customers can be assured that they understand their responsibilities to the environment and source raw materials in an ethical and sustainable manner.

Kestrel manufacture a wide range of soffit/multipurpose boards including two finished edge soffit boards, ventilated soffit boards, PVC-U Clip lock hollow soffit boards and PVC-U Push-Fit general hollow soffit boards.

The week on bimstore we have four new product lines available to download as Revit BIM components.603 Soffit - A 9mm thick, flat, soffit / general purpose board available in white and a variety of foiled wood grain colours. Designed to be used with all Kestrel Fascias in roofline applications. Foil versions are wrapped/finished around both edges.

803 Ventilated Soffit - A 9 mm range of vented soffits available in white and a variety of foiled wood grain colours. These vented soffits offer 10mm continuous air gap equivalents ideal for cold roof ventilation applications.

903 Ventilated Soffit - A 9 mm range of vented soffits available in white and a variety of foiled wood grain colours. These vented soffits offer 25mm continuous air gap equivalents ideal for warm roof ventilation applications.

K16 Fascia - A 16mm load-bearing, square, fascia board with a 36mm return leg. Allows direct fixing of rainwater systems without needing timber support. Soffit easily engages into the recess at the back of the K16 fascia.
