Japenese housing developer joins the UK market

The global leader in modular housing seeks to revitalise the UK housing market.

Sekisui House has announced that it will be partnering with Homes England and Urban Splash to deliver thousands of new homes across England in an attempt to hit government targets of building 300,000 new homes per year by the mid 20-20's.. 

As an experienced modular builder, Sekisui have built over 2.4m homes and last year alone they delivered 43,735 homes, almost 5% of Japan's total.

President and Reprsenatative Director of Sekisui House Ltd said: "We are extremely pleased to be able to work together with Homes England and Urban Splash to establish our operations and help to create outstanding communities in the UK.

"Using modern methods of construction to build high quality homes with short build times is one of our company's great strengths.

"Our technology and know-how can help resolve pressing social issues in the UK and I want to see us play our part effective immediately."

At a total of £90m the deal, which has been facilitated by JLL, comprises a total new investment of £55m into Urban Splash's 'House' development business to boost the UK's modular housing industry.

Sekisui House have invested a further £22m of new equity and another £30m of equity and ebt funding has been received from Homes England. 

We are making homes not units
