IKEA are building robotic furniture

Collaborating with Ori (a US startup who develop robotic furniture), IKEA have announced their first range: ROGNAN.

ROGNAN is IKEA's "robotic furniture solution for small space living" allow people who live in the likes of studio apartments to turn small spaces in to smart spaces with the comfort and convenience of a home. 

Innovative solutions that empower people.

IKEA state they are currently "exploring flexible and innovative solutions that empower people", it's outcomes are technologically advanced products for people in need of a more spacious living environment. 

To implement their smart furniture, their partner Ori state: "Urban space is too valuable and scarce to be static and unresponsive". Watch below:

 

There is more information due to be released this summer with products to be released in 2020.
