EGGER OSB HDX - the lighter and stronger alternative

bimstore manufacturer Egger’s latest product is a game-changer for those considering mezzanine flooring projects and those in the modular construction industry.

The 30mm OSB HDX is the ideal material for heavy duty projects that require a high load bearing capacity as well as offsite modular construction projects.

The new boards are wider, lighter and stronger than conventional 38mm boards, as well as having higher load points and UDLs. Their low swelling properties also mean it’s less likely to pick up moisture which can lead to uneven floors.

Another benefit for installers is that the OSB HDX is easy to fit. With a tongue and groove profile on the two long edges, the panels are laid the same way as 38mm chipboard.

The product is perfectly suitable for applications such as mezzanine flooring, racking, shelving, working platforms and decking, where P5 or P6 38mm chipboard would typically be used.
